Bob Blood is able to. walk about a little which is good news to all of us.
The first of August I had an interesting and delightful visit with Madalyne Brock, who was in New York in connection with her work with Displaced Persons. She was also visiting her daughter, Mary Still, and her two children, Mary Ellen and Tommy. Maynor has five grandchildren, two of whom, Nancy and John Watkin 111, live in Kansas City, Mo.; another, Maynor Brock 111 in Kansas City; and the other two, Mary Ellen and Tommy Still, who will be living in Baltimore, Md. after September 1.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Crane and Mr. andMrs. M. W. Webster were guests at the Hanover Inn over Decoration Day weekend.
Robie Evans announced his retirement on July 31.

In a recent issue of a Canadian sales magazine Dan Hatch had an interesting but nostalgic article about the demolition of the old Bonaventure station of the Canadian National Railroad in Montreal.
Harry Higman, who has spent most of his life in the study of nature and the out-ofdoors, is co-author with E. J. Larrison, of a book, Pilchuck, the Life of a Mountain.Harold Rugg reports the book very interesting.
Eric Kelly's sister, Lena M. Kelly, a retired teacher and social worker of Bridgeport, Conn., died on July 13. At the time of her retirement she was voted "the second most valuable woman citizen of Bridgeport".
Our class president and his wife had a very enjoyable but, I imagine, a rather strenuous month of July as Betty and the three granddaughters from Boston were visiting them.
Bill Page has retired and moved to Hollywood, Calif, to renew his youth. Bill is looking forward to enjoying his three grandsons and four granddaughters. His new address is 1843 No. Cherokee Ave., Hollywood aB, Calif.
Ethel and Walter Powers spent part of the summer in Europe seeing the sights.
Bob Richardson's sudden death on July 8 was a great shock to me as I had been talking to him a few days before. Have seen quite a little of Bob since his return from Chile in 1944. While Bob knew he needed an operation for kidney trouble he didn't consider that it would be serious. However his heart gave out and the end came soon after the operation was completed.
Anyone attending the West Newbury, Mass. summer theatre should have recognized one of the actors, Robert Russell, as the son of our Treasurer.
On May 28 Alice Ruth, daughter of Katherine and "Turtle" Tourtellotte, was married to James V. Milburn, in Victoria, B. C.
1906 should be proud of the class record in the Alumni Fund this year as far as the number of contributors is concerned. There were only five of the men who graduated with the Class who failed to send in a contribution. Max and his committee put in a lot of hard work and deserve great credit for the results accomplished.
The annual class dinner will be held at the Algonguin Club, Boston, Friday night October 21, the night before the Harvard game. Plan now to attend.
