The Glens Falls club started the new year with a very successful outing and clam steam at the Battenkill Country Club, Greenwich, N. Y., on August 27. Continuing the trend toward larger gatherings since the war and aided by an influx of alumni in the last year, this year's outing was attended by 54 alumni, undergraduates and guests. President BillSharp of Greenwich did a topnotch job in getting the dinners and entertainment lined up. Spurred on by Kim Gannon, song writer of Greenwich and Hollywood, the piano was played well into the night and the voices of the members can probably still be heard on the winding banks of the Battenkill River. It was the unanimous opinion that the affair was the outstanding one of its type in the club's 13-year history.

Among those present were Tom Remsen '01, Kip Higley '24, Coop Rhodes '25, Bill Sharp '26, George Davis '28, Sam Englander '32, Bill Ferguson '36, Bob Crawford '37, Bill Bronk '38, Roy Middleworth '39, Don Hanks '41, George Morse '41, Bud Allen '42, John Bullard '42, Gibb Clark '42, Dr. Ward Jenkins '42, Tuss Hand '43, Henry Moore '45, Arch Gernert '46, Bill Boardman '49, Dick Higley '49, Dan Ryder '49, John Higley '51, Orson Spurr '52 and Roger Williams '53.

The officers of the club have decided to raise the dues slightly for those members out of college over ten years. It was decided that this step would be necessary to cover the expenses of increased activities of the club. Included in the program for this year will be a joint meeting with the local Cornell club on the eve of the Cornell football game, a Fathers and Sons dinner during the Christmas holiday, and two spring meetings to include a guest speaker from Hanover, the annual business meeting and probably a songfest.
