Howard Hall reports they have had a record breaking season at Howe Caverns this past summer. He and Gene were registered at the Hanover Inn early in September.
Charlie and Helen Chase have retired to their old home in Rensselaerville, N. Y., but will probably spend the winter in New York City. Charlie is doing some surveying work, looking up deeds in County Registry, and with work devoted to caring for the home place, and local problems, he finds the time passes very quickly.
Selwyn Dearborn writes a most interesting letter from Woodsville, N. H., and describes very vividly the experiences and difficulties in the life of a country doctor, covering a span of 45 years. He started out with .$45.00 in cash, a second-hand medicine case, and a borrowed horse and buggy, but no whip or horse blanket. He is looking forward to being with us in 1951.
Bill Cheever is still on his old job in Providence, R. I., and says he is in his usual topnotch health, and enjoys his work which is not too strenuous but sometimes exacting. Bill is a regular attendant at the Five Class Dinners held in Boston each spring.
Once again Johnnie Ward has hung up another big record for the class in the Alumni Fund Campaign, and our sincerest thanks and appreciation are due him for his untiring efforts.
"Pa" Rollins was in the hospital for a serious operation this spring, but is now back on the bench, serving as Justice of the Municipal Court of Brookline, Mass.
Chan and Mary Cox enjoyed an extended trip to Cuba, Guatemala and Honduras this last spring.
