The picnic reported in the last issue was a great success. The weather was perfect and the beer was cold. The Softball game had a tough time surviving. It received considerable competition from the Cardinal-Cincinnati Reds baseball game.

On November 5, thanks to Ruth Rogers and Jukie Deckert, the alumni and guests will be square dancing at the American Legion Community Club at University City, 7800 Olive Street Road. We are looking forward to the evening with great anticipation.

The football team will have the St. Louis Club cheering its every play when they meet Cornell on November 12. We'll be in the Hotel Sheraton along with the Cornell Club getting every play as it happens over Western Union wire. Here's hoping we don't have to listen to the Cornell Victory cheers again this year.

Already plans are being made for the return of the Glee Club to St. Louis. The Glee Club concert is tentatively planned for April 5. Since that day is Holy Thursday, we're wondering what effect it would have on attendance.

The St. Louis Club regrets the transfer of Charlie Cashin '45 to Chicago. Charlie is with the U. S. Leather Company. We're happy for the promotion, but we're sorry he couldn't have received it and still stayed in St. Louis.

We'll be seeing you on Thursday at 12:15 in the back room of Gerken's Buffet, 321 Olive Street, St. Louis.
