A recent letter from Skip Stoddard, Assistant to the Secretary of the College, tells that plans have been formulated and questionnaires sent to 220 men who formerly were members of the DNAA and who have expressed their desire to become affiliated with the Classes of 1945, 1946, 1947. and 1948. Undoubtedly a great majority of these men will want to join our ranks in '46. Although this is a bit premature, I'd like to say here in public to those men who decide that they want to become affiliated with us that we welcome them wholeheartedly into our midst. Many '46ers have friends that were made in the Navy while at Dartmouth and have long awaited this opportunity to have them become "closer to home." As soon as the tally is in you will be informed.

A list sent by the ever efficient ALUMNI MAGAZINE office contains the names of several 46's who received degrees from Harvard in June. Included were Phil Osberg, M.A.; JohnMorrissey, M.D.; Michael Marzano, L.L.8.; and Stephen Hoye, D.D.M.

An article in the Oct. 29 issue of The NewYorker in the "Talk of the Town" column was of special interest to your Secretary be- cause I hadn't heard anything about DuneFitchet, other than his marriage, since before the war. Dune is now Editor of the Trade Map Department for Rand McNally in Chicago. The article tells about that company's first completely new atlas in 50 years and the work involved in publishing the work. It's an interesting article, worthy of your attention. (I'm not on the payroll of The New Yorker either.)
