The election of our classmate Frank T. (Kid)Hodgdon as President of the Farmers and Merchants Bank and Trust Cos. of Hannibal, Mo. has been announced. Hodgdon began his services at this bank immediately after leaving college and has continued there for over fifty years. During his service he has been Cashier, Trust Officer, Vice President, and now President. He has been very active in organizations for community betterment and was chairman of the Building Committee for a million dollar Cancer Hospital in that state. About the time of our last Class Reunion the citizens of Hannibal and the surrounding area honored him with a complimentary dinner in recognition of his services to the bank and to the community. This event received wide newspaper notices throughout the state.
In the early part of February Hodgdon attended the Hanover Holiday given by the Chicago Dartmouth Club in that city—making the trip particularly to have the opportunity of meeting President Dickey. He was introduced as representing the class having the oldest date of graduation among those present.
Tom Ham writes that he is very busy in his yard and garden and has planted flower and vegetable seeds in his cold frame. He expects bountiful crops when these mature. The season in Massachusetts must be some weeks ahead of that in Maine.
