One of Eastern Pennsylvania's most successful dinner-meetings in recent years was held on March 11 at the Wyomissing Club in Reading. Men from practically all the towns and cities in our area gathered to see the Dartmouth films, elect officers, and enjoy the Dartmouth fellowship.
The nominating committee had little difficulty in pushing through the following slate of officers for the 1949 year: President, JohnW. Moxon '28 of Reading; Vice-President, Robert W. Morse '39 of Easton; Secretary-Treasurer, Carl L. N. Erdman '37 of Reading.
After dinner, Yale-Dartmouth football game movies gave all who didn't see the Big Green perform last season an opportunity to watch the great victory over Eli Yale. "Hanover 1947" brought the pre-war alumni up to date on the Hanover scene. The big treat came when Andy Marshall showed the films he took of his 25th Class reunion several years ago. How about taking movies of our picnic next summer, Andy?
Members attending the Reading dinner were: Lou Ekstrom '12, William Cummings '34, Carl Erdman '57, Randy Klinefelter '35, Val Klopp '09; Fred J. Koller '36, Andy Marshall '22, Skip Morse '39, John Moxon '28, Roy Milliken '28, William R. Post '45, James Rick '31, Bob Ritter '18, John F. Schaeffer Jr. '46, Ed Scully '47, Milt Shultz '30, Carlton Simonds '24 and his son Donald Simonds, Charles Pyewell '34, Ralph Tyler Jr. '45, Bob Wilmot '34, John Morse '44, Oliver A. Martin '47. Attendance honors went to the class of '34 for having three men present.
