The annual spring meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Maine was held April 28 with Prof. Allen R. Foley '20 of the Faculty as our honored speaker for the evening. Needless to say, we were all thoroughly entertained with his ever popular concept of Vermont humor.

It was with sincere regret that we note here that our President, Bill Shapleigh '12, was in the hospital at the time, and Larry Andrews '41 did the duties for the evening. We are very glad to report that President Bill is now recovering very rapidly.

The second annual clambake was held again in early June, in South Freeport, and even though the weather was not too favor able, a very enjoyable time was had by all. Again, our handy man, Chuck Burwell, headed up the committee and made excellent arrangements. He was assisted by John White '43 and Oakley Curtis '43.

It might be well to note that the wives of the above committee were pressed into service, and we would not let a report go by without complimenting them for their efforts.
