One of the finest memorials to a member of the Class is the Christmas Family Letter prepared and distributed by Miss Eleanor Richmond as a tribute to the memory of her father, the late Dr. Allen Pierce Richmond, familiarly known to Dartmouth men of his time as Pete. Miss Richmond became intensely interested in the Class and College during her father's lifetime, and accompanied him to reunions as late as the 6oth, his last one. The Family Letter (19 pages, letter size, single spaced) contains reports from 35 families—only six of our class are living—with latest data about all of their members to the "third and fourth generations." If other families can be contacted later, a supplement is in preparation.
Miss Ford, the Alumni Recorder, writes, "This is a wonderful job, and only one in the business can appreciate all the work that went into it. This material is invaluable for our records." About 80 copies have been sent to those who furnished information. A few copies are available for others interested. Address, Miss Eleanor Richmond, Pioneer Hotel, 410 Stuart St., Boston 16, Mass.
George W. Ransom's widow, Dr. Eliza Ransom, is spending the winter at Southern Pines, N. C., but may go to Mexico later. She maintains a summer home at Martha's Vineyard. Her daughter Eleanor, Mrs. Benjamin C. Mayhew, also has a place at Chilmark, Martha's Vineyard, Mass. Her daughter Louise, Mrs. Gordon Fletcher, lives at 6 Studio Arcade, Bronxville, N. Y.
