Barnstormer Eddie Chamberlain's welcomed visit on Tuesday night, Dec. 12, topped off an active '49 fall schedule for our local club, which included the annual September softball-brewfest at Alex Thomson's ('21) and the direct-broadcast gridiron get-to-gether with a tight (moneywise), silent-sipping Cornell crew on Nov. 12 (locale & chow by courtesy of ex-prexy Bob Sweeney '34).

We had eight local high-school guests, Eddie showed pictures of the Cornell blitz, and then gave us the current pitch on Hanover happenings. It was a worth-while evening, well-arranged by Jack "The Hunter"Holliday '43 (noiv penning his African expedition experiences for a local Scripps-Howard tabloid), and attended by 25 faithful alums. During a short lull in the proceedings, BlaineMiller Jr. '3l and Bill McMurtrie '38 were installed as President and Secretary, respectively, for the coming year.

Attendance has been good this fall, and our four newest members, Dr. Tom Moore '42, Bob Ferris '46, Lew Geer '49, and genial "Fat"Hardy '18 (the original Mayor of Souse Mass according to Reliable Alex Thomson) have been at all of our sessions. Other "regulars" this fall include: John Mann '94, Dr. Walter Kelly '97, Alex Thomson 'si, Reuben Winchester '23, Bud Buell '23, Vin Meyer '26, Hi McKee '27, Dick Lee '28, Gordon Derby '31, Blaine Miller Jr. '31, Wally Rusterholtz '31, Hank Kingdon '32, Hank Peirce '34, Bob Sweeney '34, Wally Reichert '34, Herb Knowles '35, Jack Davis '36, John Marsh '36, George Zeiss '37, Ed Eaton '37, Lew Williams '3B, Bill McMurtrie '38, Lou Highmark '39, Greek Mahoney '40, Walt Kuhn Jr. '40, Ted Locke Jr. '42, Jack Holliday Jr. '43, Jack Behringer '43, Bob Brown '43, John Ashby Jr. '46.
