WILLIAM L. WILSON, Dartmouth "34, hasjoined the Medical School faculty as Instructor in Hospital Administration. Admin-istrator of Hanover's Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital since 1948, Mr. Wilson is one ofthe leading men in his field and is serving this year on the Council on Planning and Plant Operation of the American Hospital Association, on the Planning Committee of the New England Hospital Assembly, and as Vice President of the New Hampshire Hospital Association.

Mr. Wilson took his M.B.A. at the University of Chicago in 1939. In the same year he became a Certificant of the American College of Hospital Administrators and in 1947 became a Fellow. He interned at the Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, N. Y., where he was Assistant Administrator from 1936 to 1939. He then went to the Geisinger Memorial Hospital in Danville, Pa., where for nine years he was Administrator until appointed to the same position at the Hitchcock Hospital.

The Medical School especially has cause to mourn the passing on February 9 of Dr. Howard N. Kingsford '9B, Professor of Pathology and Bacteriology, Emeritus, and Medical Director, Emeritus, of the College. The date of his death, one day before the closing of this issue, makes it necessary to delay until next month a fuller expression of the deep sense of loss experienced by all of "Doc's" friends.
