South Shore

The mid-winter meeting of the Dartmouth Club of the South Shore was held at the Red Coach Grille in Hingham, Mass., on January 9. It was the second of two extremely successful meetings in this, the first year of the club, and a lot of credit should go to the membership committee in contacting Dartmouth men on the South Shore, from Atlantic to Plymouth, for the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Gus Pratt '44, president.

After the dinner, Dr. Wallace Drake '14, chairman of the program committee, introduced the speaker, Cliff Bean '16, who has been closely associated with the Dartmouth admissions system for several years. Cliff gave a good, straight-from-the-shoulder talk and as a result Dartmouth men hereabouts have a clear understanding of this problem and can be better representatives of the College. As a service to the communities in this area, the club had as guests the Guidance Directors of several South Shore high schools.
