Although he reached 95 years on his last birthday, April 22, 1951, William R. Tillotson '77, Dartmouth's oldest living graduate, carries out a daily routine which might be that of a man 40 years younger. As an officer of the National Loan and Improvement Cos. in Moorhead, Minn., he attends his office nearly every day. Active and in good health, he travels back and forth to work in a taxi from his comfortable house where he lives alone. He has his meals at a downtown restaurant, usually with friends.
Born in Bath, N. H., Mr. Tillotson went to the Middle West following his graduation from Dartmouth. For many years he carried on a busy law practice, and was twice elected Mayor of Moorhead.
Mr. Tillotson's wife, the former Harriet Tanner, died in 1942. He has a married son and daughter, four grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren .
