The hockey situation looks considerably brighter than it did at the time of our last communique. Although this year's sextet has no outstanding star, with the exception of Captain Cliff Harrison, a couple of the boys have suddenly flashed some unexpected ability which has made things happier for Coach Jeremiah. In addition, this aggregation goes a long way in ag- gressiveness to compensate for some of the plethora of talent that characterized the teams of recent vintage. As the opener against Yale loomed close, Coach Jeremiah more or less settled upon his principal operatives. In the first line, Captain Cliff Harrison is flanked by Bill Dow and Joe Scully, the former a senior who flashed brilliantly as a freshman and then subsided, the latter a junior who played on the jayvees last year but who has come along very rapidly this year.

The second line comprises the reliable Mike Choukas at center, flanked by Hank Waters and Whitey Dunlap. On the third line, Pete Stien, Jim Gregg, Jack Hurley, and Sam Boyce will probably alternate. The first two defense men are John Grocutt and John Brower, the former a veteran of the position from last year and the latter a converted forward with a terrific shot. Behind them are Jack Boyle and Art Morse. In the nets will be Dick McMahan, backed by sophomore Freddy Hitt, who did not play freshman hockey last year. Although there may be subsequent shifts, this is about the group that will carry the fortunes of the Green on the ice this winter.
