The Philadelphia Club held its annual Christmas holiday luncheon for undergraduates, fathers and alumni on Friday, December 29, at the University Club. Vice President Victor C. Smith '17 presided. In the course of the luncheon, Mr. Smith called upon DickPugh '51, of whom the Philadelphia alumni are justifiably proud because of his splendid record as a student and undergraduate leader at Dartmouth, and because of his recent selection as a Rhodes Scholar. Those attending the luncheon had the pleasure of seeing one of the newest additions to the Dartmouth Film library, "My First Week at Dartmouth." We all felt that it was a wonderful portrayal of undergraduate life in Hanover and that it was excellently done. Any Dartmouth groups which have not yet used the film, particularly for showings to secondary school audiences, should do so as soon as possible. This production certainly has our enthusiastic approval.

The following were present at the luncheon: Arthur B. Jopson Jr. '45, Joe Flounders '47, Hal H. Gibson Jr. '26, George H. Farrington 'l2, Burt C. Flounders '52, Ned Sullivan '52, H. There will be ample quantities of refreshments available and plenty of room to accommodate substantial attendance. Tickets will go on sale in early March, at 52.60 per person. We urge the alumni to invite their friends to enjoy this fine musical group and the dancing and party which will top off the evening. You can do that with a genuine sense of pride.
