Only three months to go to '47's big 25th June 15, 16, 17 and 18. All indications are that there will be approximately 800 classmates, wives and children, present for this four-day extravaganza of fellowship, fun, sentiment and nostalgia. If you and your family are not yet part of this 800 it's not too late. Get your reservations in and share this memorable occasion. If we sound enthused, it's just because we attended a reunion committee meeting in New York City at the Dartmouth Club with our competent chairman, Frank Weber, con-during the meeting. Also in attendance were Treasurer Dick Hollerith, HamChase Attendance Chairman (who vows to try and get every living breathing 47 to Hanover), Al Blidner our Banquet Toastmaster, Al Epstein, able Class Agent, and yours truly. Also all the way from Hanover guiding us with facts, figures, and advice was Dave Orr, representing the College. The program is a varied and exciting one with a little bit of something for everybody. In addition to the cocktail hours and tent time, there is a short computor course with Dr. Kemeny participating, panel discussions, tennis tournaments, golf tournaments, picnics, swimming, banquets, etc. One aim of your committee is to keep the cost as low as possible and it is truly a bargain weekend. Whether or not you realize it and even if by some chance you cannot make the reunion a '47 reunion year book will be sent to every member of the Class. Don't cheat yourself and friends by not sending in up-to-date information and photos. If by any chance you haven't done so already, send it special delivery directly to SaxeFletcher, 64 Sylvan Place, Longmeadow, Mass. 01106. What else can we say—make the effort, once you're there it will be very worthwhile.
From Wheaton, Ill., comes news of JohnJ. Gray who recently moved his wife and six children from Sarasota County, Fla. John's background is city management and in Sarasota County, he was its first county administrator. He is filling the same function as the first county administrator for DuPage (Illinois) county. The concept is to centralize payroll and other county functions with a master plan for county administrations.
A note from Charlie Scofield's wife informing us that he is now president of the Cheshire County Medical Society, Cheshire County, N. H. Also, that their daughter Karen is filling out her application for Dartmouth.
Speaking of girls at Dartmouth, we had the pleasure recently interviewing a Vassar sophomore who wishes to transfer to Hanover. It was a unique experience and if this type of girl is accepted, it can only add to the Hanover scene.
From Austin O'Toole, in Cohasset, Mass., a brief note indicating that all is well. Austin is heavily engaged building apartments in Houghton, Mass., Bourne, Mass., and developing lots in Plymouth and Wareham, Mass. Anybody needing an apartment or land, Austin sounds like a good man to get in touch with.
Congratulations to Bill Clay elected chairman of the Board of Braun Electric of Canada. Bill is currently living at Wellesley Hills, Mass., and we wonder whether this new position will take him to the home office in Toronto, Ont.
