With Big Green Teams

THIS has not been exactly a vintage year for Dartmouth athletics. With the abbreviated spring season almost half over as we write, the various aggregations wearing the green are for the most part not at the top of their respective hierarchies. In the following pages, we shall outline some of the data upon which this somber generalization is based. Lack of space prevents a detailed account of all the activities of any one team, inasmuch as most of them have engaged in a larger number of contests than we can possibly chronicle here. In order to be fair to all concerned, therefore, we shall limit ourselves to two contests for each of the following teams: baseball, track, lacrosse, tennis, and golf. Inasmuch as our readers love a happy ending (which means a Dartmouth victory) we shall endeavor to provide them with same. In some cases, however, that will be more difficult than it sounds.
