The Secretary spent the last weekend of September with friends in Rockport, Mass., and called on Herb and Laura Rogers who live there in a cozy home all year round. He also called on Art and Tat Irving, who were spending the weekend in a cottage they occupy during the summer months from late in June until after Labor Day. Both couples looked well and it was very pleasant to see them, if only for brief periods.

The Winchesters spent the summer, as usual, at their Adirondack cottage.

November birthday greetings to Boston,Galusha, Martin, Surrey and Woodman. This is also the Secretary's birth month, besides that of four members of his family.

Not too early to be thinking about our 55th in Hanover a year from next June.

Scarce is the news for our column this month. However, there will be plenty in the class report which will be soon, if not al- ready, in your hands.
