The most important Dartmouth Club activity in this area during the fall season was the swell cocktail and dinner party given by Shirley and Frank Simpson '41 on November 7. We had a good attendance and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. As you can well imagine, it's quite a chore to throw an all-evening party for 50 guests, but Shirley and Frank had everything arranged so well thai they even had time to mingle and chat with their friends. The local Club owes Shirley and Frank a big vote of thanks for their accomplishments.
One Dartmouth man new to this section who turned up at the Simpsons' party was Don Cote '45, who is interning at General Hospital. Hal Plotnick '46, who is doing his M.D. duties with the Air Force induction service in Cincinnati, gave Don the information. We seem to have a lot of doctors around who are loyal Dartmouth alumni, but they leave entirely too soon. Sandy Courter '41 is now back in active service and is stationed in Philadelphia. No one has yet turned up to replace Sandy's constant attendance at our Tuesday luncheons.
Dusty Rodes '41 is now busy tracking down leads on high-schoolers who are interested in Dartmouth. If you know of any promising young men that might be interested, call Dusty and give him their names. We would like to increase our undergraduate represenlation.
The next gathering on the schedule is the annual Christmas party at the Cincinnati Country Club. Members have already been warned to reserve the date.
