By the time these notes appear, Dartmouth men in the Cincinnati area will have received a detailed description of the activities planned for the 1952-1953 season. A varied program has been arranged by the Club's executive committee under the guidance of PresidentE. Grant Hesser '41. Although the attendance at last year's functions was encouraging, we hope to increase our participation this year by announcing events so far in advance that all members can set aside the dates without conflict. While the exact date is not certain at this writing, the announcement that a social party similar to Lew Johnstone's famous shindig of last year will be held around the first of November should warm the hearts of those who remember Lew's efforts.
Enrollment and interviewing activities in the Greater Cincinnati area have been entrusted to Dr. Harold P. "Dusty" Rodes '41 and Dr. Sanford R. Courter '41, w-ho will function as enrollment chairman and interviewing chairman respectively. Dusty and Sandy have been seen often this summer tearing up the turf on the golf links and this companionship should strengthen (?) our efforts to obtain Dartmouth applications from outstanding local secondary schoolers. Dusty is president of Ohio Mechanics Institute and has been receiving a lot of good publicity in the Cincinnati press. Since Dartmouth and OMI are not competing for the same type of student, we are indeed fortunate in having a man of Dusty's prestige add Dartmouth talent to his search.
While we hope to have the Glee Club here in the spring of 1953, the details have not as yet been worked out. Gordon Hood '50 has been appointed to investigate the situation and we all hope that an appropriate date can be found.
One more reminder - the Dartmouth table is still operating every Tuesday noon in the Florentine Room of the Hotel Gibson. Drop around and talk with your friends while you eat an enjoyable lunch.
