A recent meeting was held by the Dartmouth Club of Maine at the Purpoodock Club, in Cape Elizabeth, Me.

Instead of having our dinner formal, there was injected into this meeting an air of informality which was very well received. After a very delicious meal, we adjourned to a large room, where we all gathered about a roaring fire.

Inasmuch as there was no speaker scheduled from the College, Judge Arthur E. Sewall '04 kindly consented to be our speaker for the evening. We were all very thoroughly entertained by excerpts of his experiences at Dartmouth College.

The business taken up was forming a committee to draw up plans for the Club's Annual Clambake, which will be held sometime in June. A committee consisting of Bill Shapleigh '12, John White '45, was appointed. The committee is beginning to take on the aspect of a standing one, but we are loathe to let the members be released after the fine affairs they have put on the past two years.

It is hoped that many out-of-state Alumni who happen to be around will contact the Secretary, because we would like to have as many out-of-staters as possible present.

THE MOHAWK VALLEY ALUMNI heard the latest news of the College when Don Cameron '35 spoke as guest of honor at a dinner held April 4. Front row (I to r): William Calli '45, 2nd vice-president; Don Cameron '35; Earl Liberty '29, president; Gilbert Jones '45, secretary; Joseph Kyser '32, treasurer. Second row: Gilbert Hurt '41, Jack Underhill '45, Raymond Bankert '49, Noel Brown, Dr. Jim Douglas '23, Maury Lyon '52, James Capps '19, Dr. Willis Hainlen '19, Jack Shaw '43, Jerry McDonald. Back row: Francis Jones '14, William Purcell '28, James Brown '23, W. Blanchard '33, John Duffy '36, Dr. James Capps Jr. '43, Al Lyon '22, Wallace Owens '46, Dr. Hyzer Jones Jr. '41.

Secretary, 58 Morrill St., Portland, Me.
