H., on November 27. Jack was presented with a Zenith radio and a defense bond. Jack has retired after 26 years' service on the commission, during the last 25 years being Chairman. Your secretary had a very pleasant visit with Fred Lord and Jean at their Dunedin winter home. He found Fred looking much better than at any time in several years. Fred had had a serious male operation at the Mary Hitchcock Hospital shortly before leaving for the South. He declared he was feeling better now than for a long while.

Melvin Smith, Fred Lord, Bill Mitchell,Mushy Jones, your secretary and possibly FredBennis should be the enVy of all our other classmates for we are all down here in Florida where we are enjoying fine balmy weather and free from the snow, ice and cold which have been plaguing the northern members of the class; We are not boosters of Florida but we do recommend to our classmates the passing of the winter here where it will be pleasant and comfortable.
