The December meeting of the executive committee of the Long Island Association was held at the home of Jack Coulson '39 in Freeport, N. Y.
Al Marks,' 34 gave an extensive report on our plans for sponsoring a Glee Club concert in conjunction with the New York Association on the evening of April 5. Present plans provide for a combination Glee Club concert and dance. The New York Civic Center has been selected as the most logical location for staging the event. After matching expenses, all income will be applied toward scholarship aid. For this reason we are hoping for a large ticket sale and for a generous amount of adrtising in the program and journal which the Long Island Association is preparing.
In past years our Scholarship Fund has been augmented by receipts from a Dartmouth- Hofstra basketball game. Ed Warnke '19 reported that, due to schedule difficulties, no game could be played this year. We are tentatively arranging for this event next year, however, on February 3, 1953.
Guy Bostwick '27 is currently working on plans for a clambake or picnic to be held in warm weather and to make the occasion a family gathering.
The following new members were welcomed into our group: Lee Trudeau '41, WarrenKreter '42, and Clayton Morey '49.
