Led by Captain Pete McCreary, Dartmouth finished fifth in the annual Heptagonal Meet (i.e., the Ivy League games) at West Point, with a total of 25.2 points. The Indians finished behind Army, Cornell, Princeton, and Navy in that order. The high point of the day, from the Dartmouth standpoint, was McCreary's victory in the 120-yard high hurdles, wherein he set a Heptagonal mark of 14.4 seconds and tied the Dartmouth College record established just thirty years ago by Earl Thomson. The fleet Dartmouth captain also stepped over the low hurdles for a fourth place, bringing his total for the day to 8 points.

Senior Nels Ehinger won the high jump for the third (and last) time in the outdoor Heptagonal games, with a leap of 6'3", for the only other Dartmouth win. Al Reich flipped the spear 196 feet to take second in the javelin throw. Dick Calkins took a fifth in the broad jump and Ben Lawwill tied for fifth in the pole vault. This concluded the scoring in the field events for the Green, but Mike Morrissey surprised the Dartmouth supporters by taking a strong third in the mile run. Sam Daniell did likewise in the half mile. Coach Ellie Noyes and his boys got a considerable measure of satisfaction in this meet by finishing well ahead of Harvard, which had previously beaten them in dual meet competition. In the outdoor IC4A meet, McCreary ran his last race for Dartmouth and won the high hurdles in the near-record time of 14.5, with a lunge at the finish line to do it. Al Reich took a third in the javelin for his final appearance in a green jersey, with a heave of 200 feet 9½ inches. The third place-winner for the Green was Nels Ehinger, who was not up to his customary form and had to be content with a tie for fifth. These three performances put Dartmouth in 8th place with 8½ points.
