The licking we took from Navy last week was understandable and perhaps justified, but did leave me personally in a deplorable bargaining position with my fellow Cincinnatians. That same day the U. of Cincinnati whipped William and Mary 57-7, and William and Mary tied Navy 7-7 the preceding week ... which gave the mathematical mechanics a distinct rebuttal to my earlier claims what the Big Green would do to the locals if they ever met! I'm now talking about hockey.

Malcolm McLoud stopped by en route home from Milwaukee a couple of weeks ago, his attache case bulging with a raft of broken down shirts, stiff argyles, and approximately one third of a million dollars worth of ordersHe had no more than slipped out of his capitalistic role into something more drinkable when the door-bell rang and the Dayton Squire, Hose Craig appeared with Liz tethered to their newly crowned Kerry Blue champion, Claudia. Bill and Joan Portman joined in on the discussion of the relative merits of accomplishment between Boog and the dog, and the consensus was for Claudia.

If you read that lead article in Time about Procter & Gamble, you'll be impressed to LoW that one of those "bright young men" whom Neal McElroy referred to in speaking about his brand men, is Don Hinkley. We get a Maggie's Drawers in the romance department this month. There are still a number of bachelors at large, and apparently they are retaining their mobility. Likewise in the offspring department.

If you have an old two-cent postal hanging around, I would certainly appreciate a fewkind words to pass along for next month's Yule number.
