Most of the February meeting of the Long Island Association was devoted to final arrangements for the Dartmouth-Hofstra basketball game. Blocks of tickets were distributed to each member present. Ed Warlike '19 reported good progress in lining up the printed program for the game. Advertisements are rolling in from as far away as Lake Fairlee and Lake Morey, Vt., where resort owners are looking forward to a busy summer season. All profit from the program is being turned over to our scholarship fund.
The following nominating committee was selected to choose the names of candidates for next year's slate of officers: Jack Coulson '39, Chairman, Carll Buhler '30, and Walt Darby '39. The committee will welcome suggestions from the membership at large.
Instead of holding our annual meeting and election of officers on the second Wednesday of June, which sometimes conflicts with graduation plans, we plan to vote on changing the date to the third Thursday of May, which happens to fall on the 21st of the month this year. Butch Hillard '41 was appointed chairman of the annual dinner committee.
Enrollment activities have recently been given impetus through the showing of the film, "My First Week at Dartmouth," at the Garden City High School and St. Paul's School.
