The Dartmouth-Holy Cross football game on Sept. 26 will be shifted from Hanover to the Manning Bowl in Lynn, Mass. Reason for the switch in locale is that this contest has been selected as the game-of-the-week under the NCAA TV plan and will be televised coast-to-coast. Both Hanover and Worcester lack TV facilities. The Manning Bowl seats 16,734 spectators (just about the same as Dartmouth's Memorial Field) and is considered by Dartmouth athletic officials as an excellent site for the contest. The game offers a real opportunity not only for excellent publicity for Dartmouth College and the football team, but as a means of helping to cut the DCAC's anticipated deficit. The television rights alone should bring in a reported 150,000 to the College.
