My arch enemy, news robber and Mint Bag editor, Rog Allen, has arranged to have his latest and one of the more choice bits of copy delivered to the door. This provided only temporary relaxation and forced a fresh start on this column.

Fortunately, enough of you heeded RowleyBialla so the list of names of the AlumniFund contributors has taken most of the beat off me.

By way of a news clipping we got word that Jason Newton has been appointed to the staff of Clark University, Worcester, Mass., to teach cost accounting. This will be in addition to Jake's regular position as assistant comptroller of Crompton and Knowles Looms Works where he has been employed since 1942. He is a past president of the Worcester Chapter of the National Association of Cost Accountants and a member of the Comptrol lers Institute of America.

Ed Casey was appointed baseball coach of Natick, Mass., High School this fall. For the past three years he has had a most successful record as football and baseball coach at Coolidge Junior High and is presently an instructor of social studies and a member of the football staff of the Senior High School.

Cedric Jaggard has recently accepted the appointment as pastor of the .Westminster Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg, N. J. For the past eight years he served as pastor of his church in Valley Stream, L. I. The Bristol, Conn., Christian Teaching Mission invited Elsorn Eldridge to be guest leader and also to preach at the Sunday morning services of the Trinity Episcopal Church. He is now executive secretary of the Province of New England, editor of The New Hampshire Churchman and a member of the executive council of the Diocese of New Hampshire.

Richard Wood is special gifts chairman of the Big Brother Association Fund Raising Campaign for 1955. In addition, Dick is in the wool business with Walker Top Associates of Boston.

Herb and Beth Levine made newspaper headlines recently winning their fashion "Oscar" at the Dallas International Exposition.

Frank Butler and Bill Storck both wrote notes on the back of Rug's bill. That's an easy way to get information to the Secretary (Rug sends them on to me) and get off his list. Frank is assistant secretary of F. L. Jacobs Co., large auto parts manufacturer in Detroit. Bill is still at the Naval Supply Depot at Mechanicsburg, Pa., but should now be addressed Comdr. W. H. Storck.

Lester's mother, Mrs. John H. Hoyle, sent along a note with his class dues reporting that the operation on his spine last year was a disappointment and he is still convalescing in Phoenix, Ariz. He'd sure love to hear from some of you guys.

Don McKinlay, Jim Otis, the Gus Farwells and Jack Devlins all managed to get back to Hanover for a few days' stay at the Inn during October. Understand Hurricane Hazel did little more than howl through the trees but was followed by a few of those Indian Summer days we all remember.
