With everyone moving away from New England, according to what you read in the business press, it's refreshing to be able to cite at least one instance where someone moved into the territory. There seems to be an example of this in the case of Stan Osgood. For some years Stan has been with the Naval Air Research Lab in San Diego. About two years ago he came to M.I.T. for the Lab to work on Lincoln Project in a liaison capacity. Recently the project was completed and Stan faced the prospect of returning to San Diego. To offend nobody's chamber of commerce, shall we say Stan decided agin it? He has decided he can advance the fortunes of the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in their Boston agency, despite the fact it means a rather drastic transformation of his personal application. Good luck, Stan, and welcome to Local #303 of the Hawkers and Pushers Union, to which we have long held membership!

Senator Treadway (Massachusetts, that is, Son!) is getting himself elected to more durned committees. Read the other day he's been named to two special recess commissions, one on educational television and the other on studying the establishment of a state medical and dental school as a branch of the University of Mass.... Never before can we recall having lost track of a classmate altogether. We make public admission of the fact in the case of Harry Clark in the hope that some classmate can fill us in on the facts. According to our records, Dallas, Texas, was Harry's home a few years ago.

Several months ago we told you they'd do it - and on December 19 they did. Reference is, of course, to the customary "I do" ceremony at the Walt Mosenthal-Marion Law nuptials. A real gay affair it was at Upper Montclair, N.J. We scanned the list of ushers and two names seemed real '36y - one Dave Fox and one George Conklin. It figures, and why not!

At the home office of the Mass. Mutual Life Insurance Company in Springfield, Mass., we chanced to look in on Jim Stephens, manager of Pension Trust Sales. Ours was a very enjoyable chat, interrupted only by long distance phone calls from salesmen needing a little advice and counsel from the boss. Incidentally, you company presidents, treasurers and vice presidents with a say, you better look into these pension trusts. They're legal, and you and your top-level employees stand a chance to do all right at retirement and save some tax dollars on the way. Did we say too much, Jim? Couldn't pull much out of modest brother Stephens about himself except that he admits he still owes the same people. He did have a line on Gordon Ley for us, and Gordon, if we remember correctly, Jim said you were Mr. Big at Westinghouse on color TV engineering. No doubt such a phrase covers the ground, Champ, but all too quickly. Send us some of the in-between! The Class could use to advantage a little scoop on developments in the fabulous new medium.

Those among us who read Bob Ireland's column in Letters in the January issue of this good book will realize that Bob is for Dartmouth and a strong public relations program including a little de-emphasis of the emphasis on the de-emphasis, if you please, Mr. It is purely coincidence that we should have dropped the ol' redhead a note and received an answer to same at about the time his "effusion," as he referred to it, was coming off the presses in Brattleboro. Bob presumes that in some alumni circles he's now as popular as Senator McCarthy at an A.D.A. Meeting. We never have kicked over a hornets' nest at a Turkish bath but sure 'nuf, Bob has set one up ready for kickin'. Rather than run here more of Bob's side of the subject, and he has more, we'd like for you all to read again Bob's January piece (Page 4, ALUMNI MAGAZINE) and send Joe Cunningham your thoughts on the matter. Joe's address is Box 33, Spencerville, Md. Joe could whip up quite a forum in Tithe. We want to pass along parts of Bob's letter in which he says:

"At the moment I have most of my hair, all of my teeth, no wife, a job in the advertising department of the Los Angeles Mirror and about forty pounds more of solid blubber as compared to my Hanover physique. Am living in a home I bought about two miles from Hermosa Beach, thereby obtaining all the advantages of beach living while minimizing such discomforts as sand fleas and fog. To the best of my knowledge, there are no classmates within many miles. If this impression is false, or if any visiting firemen would care for a small beer and/or bedroom, I'd be happy to welcome them. I can be reached at Frontier 2-0466, an unlisted number. A few months back. I ran into Ken Lieber in Pasadena at the Huntington Hotel and bumped into Bill Talman at the race track. We spent a pleasant afternoon tearing up losing mutuel tickets. Would like very much to hear from Pat Pope, Paul Hessler, Len Hoefler, Chick Thompson, Ed Hyde, or any others." Them's our sentiments, too, Robertl

Rog Morse, whom we reported earlier as having moved West from these parts, is watching over debits and credits for G. E. at their Evendale, Ohio, plant. The Morses are at home at 7263 Jethve Lane, Madeira, Ohio. ... John Marsh has switched Wire and Cable Companies and is now with Ansonia in their New York sales office. Recently we had the pleasure of a chance meeting with John in New York and he's another who has tried the middle of the country and is now finding that the big city has a few things that can be said in its favor.

We have been part of Vin Wentworth's interviewing team in Wellesley this season. Vin will be the first to admit that the caliber of candidates for Dartmouth this fall is the best we've hit in one long time. Sure glad we escaped being a candidate in this kind of competition. Just a serious reminder to you gentlemen who are grooming male heirs for Hanover, or any college. A highly respectable report card is a must to avoid disappointment. Only the lad with good marks can be sure of getting a seat on the wagon of his (and maybe your) choice. Thus endeth the lecturel
