Dartmouth alumni of San Diego and their guests met together March 11 to enjoy an evening of conviviality and hear Prof. Herb West '22 bring tidings and latest news items to Dartmouth's most remote United States alumni association. Forty-four enthusiasts from beach, desert and mountain gathered at Kona Kai Beach Club for cocktails, dinner and an informal talk by Herb, while hardier visitors splashed about in the heated outdoor pool and Navy night-patrol planes took off from San Diego Bay and climbed overhead.

This annual gathering with a visitor from Hanover brings out all the Old Faithfuls, including winter visitors from more rigorous climates, and is brightened by the presence of wives and other guests. This season's gathering was no exception. Our thanks to Herb West and a hearty "Hurry Back" to all the visitors.
