After last month's commentary on weather and such, Yours Truly will quietly skip the subject on this, the last installment, of the column for the academic year. Suffice it to say that during the month of April, several people we know seriously considered a vehicle not unlike the one which made Noah & Sons a going concern. Rather, the subjects covered will be strictly of matters concerning the group. Before I do get into such items as babies, business, better buys, and booze with which each of you seem to have some connection, leave me implore, order, politely request, and indulge your cooperation this summer in keeping us informed. At the risk of being impolite, I will point the accusing finger at the mid and far West while I hasten to explain that only through the mails am I able to keep up to date with the people in those "remote spots." Even though Worcester is not on the map as far as most Bostonians are concerned, if I do show up there once in a while (without mv Davy Crockett hat, that is) I find that word of mouth supplements the mails enough to keep me fairly well abreast of the times. But from the rest of the fold, mail it has got to be, as a main source. The grapevine is good but not voluminous enough. So enough of such patter for now and on to the news with

""WHO'S WHERE DOING WHAT.... Gleaned from the newspaper is the following item of academic interest: Bob Curtis has won himself a scholarship at Wharton for the coming season by winning the $1500 Samuel Fels Award on completion of his thesis, entitled "Port Authorities on the Eastern Seaboard.

On matters military there is considerable. For example, Ben Hadley is Jay-Geemg his way about with the Navy on the USS GeorgeK. MacKenzie, DD-836 out on the West Coast. Fred Neumann is doing the same in the Pacific on the USS Mansfield, DD-728. One other with a San Fran address is Jon Walton. Those sporting Navy wings of gold who have not already been mentioned in this column at one time or another include Fred Fellows. He was with the class only a short time before becoming affiliated with the USN. There are several who I find now find themselves winding their way about the wild blue astride the various types of stovepipes the Air Force calls jets. Dick Hill, for example, can be seen scrambling out of Langley these warm spring days for the cooler atmosphere found at thirty thousand and up. Likewise with Henry Chapman who left the class in 1950. Marty Cunningham's name hasn't been seen as a by-line for the "Big Story" as yet, but this is due in the mam to the fact that he is, among other things, instructing navigation for the USAF, so that the "finding" I mentioned a few lines back will be a little easier. He holds forth in the classrooms of Harlingen, Tex. Back to the Navy again for a moment to note that Dave Hawkins and wife Nan are residing in Bayside, Va., where Dave, after a year and a halt hopping about both sides of the Atlantic, contents himself with the less colorful but equally active waters of Hampton Roads as a UDT instructor. In nearby Virginia Beach, DennyBrown and wife, recently in from the West Coast, can be found living a similar life as Denny is also associated with the same organzation. North a bit and on the same coast, Tom Fenton gives his address as the Center Commander's Office, USNTC, Bainbridge, Md. Whether he is training or being trained has not been established at this writing, but either way it's shore duty, so who's complaining?

Turning now to that way of life which concerns itself with stock markets, drummers, keeping the money, building, manufacturing, servicing, and generally appeasing the almighty consumer, we find that several new faces have shown up in several new as well as old places. Tyler Darin is presently directing his endeavors along these lines as a trainee for Cities Service in New York. Dick McDonough is working as a trainee for the Small Aircraft Engine Department of General Electric in Lynn, Mass. Dean Kutchera at last report was sitting behind a sign marked "Asst. to the Export Manager" at Rayonier, Inc. of New York. I am told that Bill Riehl holds forth behind another desk in the Kelco Company as an administrative assistant and can be found or located from there most any day of the week. Out in Wayzata, Minn., and vicinity, BuckyLynman can be contacted in regard to plumbing and heating contract work. At the General Fireproofing Company in Boston, Roy Hinds can be located if you have interests along that line. In the financial world with Lehman Bros., Ronny Williams now concerns himself with the problems of the investment banker. And in the field of diplomacy, John Lloyd can be contacted at the American Embassy in Oslo, Norway. He has recently completed a tour with the State Department in the Far East.

Turning to matters of a more domestic nature now, a card from Carlsbad, New Mexico, informs me that Larry Worth and wife Grace are parents of three children now with the arrival of Gregory Alan on April 19, making that family number five in all. Larry is working for Continental Oil and says that the New Mexico address is a new one.

TROTHS AND BETROTHS Swinging into the final stretch which concerns itself in the main with matrimony, pending and otherwise, I note that a June wedding is in .store for Phil Israel and Nancy Mann. Nancy graduated from Vassar with the Class of '53 and Phil, having served with the Army in Korea, is now with the Falk Corporation in Milwaukee. A fall wedding is planned for BobAdams and fiancee, Shirley Ann Hannafin. She is a graduate of Lasell Junior College while Bob, having spent his military career with the Army's Third Armored Division, is now an underwriter trainee with Connecticut General Life.

Rog Pierce and Ann Claiborne announced their engagement last March. Rog had recently completed his tour with the Navy and now is employed with the Lumite Division of Chicopee Mills. Ann is an alumna of Bennett Junior College and has been teaching at the Rye Country Day School this past year. Another June wedding is planned by Dorothy Shea and Bill Randall in Milwaukee. The bride-elect is a graduate of Smith College and Bill is attending the University of Michigan Law School. On April 17, still another June wedding was announced when Anne Watson and Arnie Mueller made known their intentions. Arnie's fiancee is a graduate of the Virginia Medical College School of Nursing and he graduates from Harvard Med this June and will intern at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. John Adams and Lynn Ward, now a senior at Wheelock College, announced their engagement last April 20. John served with the Army Signal Corps and is now associated with the Western Electric Company of New York. Alexandra Phillips and George vonPeterffy announced their engagement on April 23. George's fiancee is a Vassar alumna and received her Master of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania. George has served as a lieutenant with the Army and expects to continue studies at the Harvard Business School this fall.

Paul Pontius and Carol Read announced marriage plans late last March. Paul served two years with the Marines and is currently associated with the Armstrong Cork Company. His fiancee is a graduate of Millarsville State Teachers College in Pennsylvania. And lastly, on April 10, George Grosshans and Phyllis Anne Greenlaw announced their engagement. Both are currently studying at the Fletcher School of Diplomacy in Medford, Mass. George served with the Navy for two years and has studied also at the University of Munich. Phyllis graduated from Mount Holyoke in 1952 and also has received a B.A. degree with honors from St. Hilda's College, Oxford, where she spent two years on a Fulbright Scholarship.

As for recent marriages, up to the time of this writing there are four to report. The first one took place last March 19 when WalterGrevatt and Margaret Vieth exchanged vows in Hamden, Conn. Walt's wife graduated from Oberlin last year and he is a student at the Chicago Theological Seminary. They make their home in Chicago. On April 10, Jim Toffey and Sally Needles were married at the Needles' home in Summit, N. J. Sally is a senior at Wellesley and Jack is serving with the Navy. Assisting with the ushering duties was Jack Uncles, presently with the Coast Guard. On April 2 Ed Greenberger and Joan Bloom were married at Essex House in New York. Joan graduated from Smith with the Class of '53. Ed is a member of the Dartmouth Club of New York and they make their home in the New York area. On May 7 Len Larrabee and Judy Tracy were married in Delmar, N. Y. Judy attended Mount Holyoke and graduated with the Class of '53. Len is currently serving with the Army as a lieutenant in the Finance Corps and hopes to return to a civilian career of banking in New York upon completion of his military obligations.

So endeth another year - three to be exact. Look forward to hearing from you or seeing you in the next few months. Very best wishes to you all; see you here next fall.
