Easter has come and gone, and for the first time this past week's weather has suggested that spring is actually going to come this year. For awhile there were sincere doubts. However, the ball teams have broken camp in Florida and are heading North, the Stanley Cup Finals are on, and our own Providence Reds are making a fine showing in the Calder Cup playoffs. By the time this is read, Green Key will probably be over in Hanover and finals will be forthcoming rapidly. For those of us interested in enrollment work for the College, this is the month of great indecision and concern, because in one month all applicants will know their fates as to Dartmouth attendance or not. There will be disappointments for some, joy for others, and unfortunately indifference for even others who might be accepted but who intend to go elsewhere - and who supplanted some guy in "acceptance" who might have been dying to go to Dartmouth. Nevertheless, it's an old story - and an interesting, one

Into the news I have this month.... Weddings.... Bob Alden of Melrose, Mass., and more recently of New York was married in Tanuary to Miss Persis Caroline Fuller of Pitts-field, Mass. One of Bob's ushers was ClarkChurch. The Aldens have by now set up their New York City apartment.... Dave Heusinkveld of Salt Lake City was married to Miss Mary Lynn Jacobs of Lewiston, Idaho, on December 30.

Engagements....Ed Graham of Gramercy Parkin New York is engaged to Miss Nancy Lee Keogh of New York with a May 12th wedding slated....Bob Tredwell of Bronxville, N.Y., is engaged to Miss Helen Penniman Marsh of Scarsdale, N.Y. with an early June wedding scheduled.

A letter from Bollie Bollenbach in Saint Paul Minn., announces the birth of twins by his wife Jean back on January 29. To myknowledge these are the first Class Twins, but I could readily be wrong, and I sure hope anyone whom I've slighted will write and correct me. Nonetheless, Bollie is extremely proud (with good reason) of Ann Carnes and Willard M. III Bollenbach. His announcement is clever and I'd like to quote part of it: "I feel impelled to knock off a note to you relative to my latest feat. I (editorially speaking) had twins! On January 29, Jean presented me with two further additions; which same addition, I certainly hope, is going to suffice from here on. The idea of twins by itself is not particularly repellent, but for anyone interested, there are easier ways of doing it. The first night home, one twin howled until 2:30 a.m., and the other took over, starting at 6:00 a.m. While not typical, it is also not uncommon." Said additions have put haste into Bollie's plans to get into a larger home, and they are in the process of building now. He works for Edward E. Johnson Inc., who makes well screens.... Two other birth announcements come from the following: Bob and Joyce Pridham announce the arrival on March 3 of Andrew Warren, and Mike and Lois McGean announce the arrival on St. Patrick's Day of Loren Leigh. So our prodigy development is hastening.

Quite a list of Hanover Inn visitors for the month, which would indicate that skiing indeed must have been good. In the following order, from February 26 to March 10, these lucky slobs were "in town again' - ClarkeChurch of Lexington, Mass., Mike Bernkopf of Larchmont, N.Y., Bill Kerr of Brooklyn, Paul Woodberry of New York, and Dick Desmond of Birmingham, Ala. I'd guess that by the date, Dick must have been back for the Alumni-Varsity Hockey game.

Two miscellaneous items.... Bill Bellows has been made resident claim adjuster in Worcester, Mass., for the Springfield Insurance Companies. Bill has been in the home office with Springfield since 1952'.... Roy Lovell has been made advertising manager of the Milford (Mass.) Daily News. Roy has lived m Milford since his graduation and marriage. His wife Marilyn and two sons Jeffrie (3) and Bradley (1) cheer him on.

That's about it for this time. How about a letter, so my copy will be longer next time? And, please do your share in the Fund drive.
