About 650 loyal alumni, undergraduates, wives, dates, and friends of the College turned out to applaud a "new look" concert by Paul Zeller's Dartmouth College Glee Club and the Injunaires on Friday evening, April 5, at Lower Merion High School. The addition of calypso rhythms, including a new College ballad by the Injunaires, spiced the program. Prospective freshmen were present as guests of the Philadelphia Alumni Association.

Following the musical part of the program, most of the crowd adjourned to the Merion Tribute House to enjoy the Dartmouth fellowship, liquid refreshment, and dancing to the strains of a combo.

Kudos for Philadelphia's part in the evening's success go especially to Bill Dow '51, program chairman; Jack Heston Jr. '54, his assistant; Sam Roberts '51, rooming chairman and keeper of the exchequer; DickLippman '42, publicity; and 22 Alumni Patrons of the concert - H. This merry Month of May will be the occasion for our second annual Spring Stag Night. Again, the program will consist of cards, beer, and the makings for real Dagwood sandwiches, just like an old German bar. This affair will be FREE to all Philadelphia Club dues-paying members and alumni who have recently moved into the area. With about 40 new dues-paying members so far this year, we look forward to the Stag Night as an opportunity to cement with them the bonds of Dartmouth fellowship in Philadelphia. Notices should be in the hands of members by the time you read this.

Put a big circle around Saturday, June 22, on your calendar NOW! That's the date for the Philadelphia Dartmouth Club's Annual Picnic at Jim Tindle's Valley Forge Farm. There will be an afternoon of freshwater swimming, Softball, sunbathing (we hope), and refreshments - beer, soft drinks, hot dogs, etc. This is an occasion for married alumni to bring the whole family, including toddlers, and for unattached alumni and undergraduates to bring dates. More details will be forthcoming in the mail.

Southpaws, fielders, grads with .500 batting averages (we'll really settle for less), anyone who's still got enough youth to want to play Softball: Your services are needed to help Dartmouth's team come out on top this year (instead of second like last year) in the Philadelphia Interclub Softball League. During the day, telephone Jack Young '47 at Locust 8-2131.

Head table at the annual dinner of the Dartmouth Club of Greater Miami: (l to r) Ralph Sethness '38, Barbara Sethness, Betty Quilty, Christina Dickey, Club President Dan Quilty '38, Chuck Garnsey '20, President Dickey, Emma Garnsey, Genoese Longhurst, and Professor Emeritus Fred Longhurst.
