By now, many of you have received a very nice birthday card designed and executed bv Stu Eldredge. We have had many compliments on the card from those here in Hanover who have seen it. I would like to share with you President Dickey's remarks: "Your new 1924 card is a striking piece - I am proud to be identified with it and thank you for the privilege."
It would be a nice gesture for those of you who wish to tell Stu what you think of his card to write him. His address is: R.F.D. 1, Box 472, Springfield, Vt.
Speaking of the local scene, it may be a surprise to some of you to know that there are ten classmates here in Hanover: Ives Atherton (local postmaster), Don Bartlett (Professor of Comparative Literature), Gordon Bridge (working for the administration), Dr. John Coyle (eye specialist), Ken Foley (printer), Dr. Ralph Miller (Pathologist), Dick Morin (College Librarian), Robin Robinson (Professor of Mathematics and Registrar), Dr. Les Sycamore (x-rays) and myself (Professor of Psychology). I don't know whether any class has any more than this representation, but this certainly is a good one.
In nearby Meriden, Art Adams ("A.D.") is still going strong as Dean at Kimball Union Academy. He also still likes to coach the tennis team. His attractive wife serves faithfully as a secretary to the Student Counseling office, across the hall from my office. His son is a freshman at Brown University and is doing very well in hockey.
Another local product continues to be at the top in international and national skiing. Ralph Miller Jr. has been picked for the equivalent of the All-American team as a climax to his notable career.
May 3 and 4 saw some 300 front-line workers and wives attending the annual meetings of Dartmouth Class Officers. 1924 was represented by Phil Van Huyck, Brad Hersey, and Butts Lamson. I was to be there, but there were just too many other things at the same time. You will notice from the reports of the Green Derby that 1924 is up in the top section and we hope you will follow closely our climb upwards. An early gift to the fund helps everybody. Just to give some idea of how much cooperation the alumni fund received, Sid Hayward reports that there are 4,000 who have a "regular job of one kind or another in work for the College."
Reservations for the football weekend at the Coach & Four Motel, White River Junction, have almost been completed. Better hurry if you want to be included. The Larry Kugelmans and the Spud Spauldings are the latest additions. Let me hear from you promptly if you are interested.

Frank Mandel has had a notable honor: "This publicity-shy good Samaritan received an award for his long years of work with the Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation at an Academy Award dinner given by the group's women's board in the Hotel Sherman's Bal Tabarin." Jimmy Durante presented the bronze Oscar statuette to Frank, who founded the Illinois Chapter in 1949 and served group's first president until 1953. He is a member of the executive committee and the national board.
