The opening of the academic year 1958-59 finds five nonogenarian living members of 1890: Dr. Perry S. Boynton - Class President - of New York, N. Y.; Emeritus Prof. JohnH. Gerould of Hanover, N. H.; Emeritus Prof. Frederick O. Grover of Oberlin, Ohio; Walter W. Rowe of New Bedford, Mass.; and your Secretary, Will A. Charles of South Acton, Mass. As far as is known, all are mentally alert and physically able to sit up and take nourishment. Out of a graduating class of 69 these five have survived the vicissitudes and toils of the intervening 68 years and we think this may be somewhat of a record. We hope that we all will be here at the beginning of the next school year to offer a feeble but heartfelt Wah-Hoo-Wah for Dartmouth.
