Dick Sears has been named a Special Agent in Georgia by the Boston Insurance Group, it was announced by Mr. C. S. Hart, President of the Boston Insurance Group. Dick will be servicing Georgia Agents from the Atlantic Regional Office. George Gerrish of Endicott, N. Y., has been appointed Marketing Services Manager at the Owego plant of the International Business Machines Corporation. John Trethaway is District Sales Manager for the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bill Chisholm is a self-employed photographer in East Hebron. N. H.
Bing Russell's recent success in television will be summarized in complete detail in the coming issue of the Squawker. John Towers' catch of a 764-pound blue marlin while fishing off Hawaii will provide good reading in the coming Squawker also.
Willard Wood has been appointed National Vice-Chairman for fund raising of the American National Red Cross. His immediate responsibility is to organize the 179 Red Cross chapters and branches of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the 1959 fund campaign.
Bob Foote of the Port of New York Authority conducts studies of tunnels and bridge operations and coordinates the preparation of plans for initiating new major operations. A member of the Port Authority since 1949, he has also worked in the planning division of the port development department. Bob is a graduate of both Dartmouth College and Yale University. Jim O'Neill, Belknap County, N. H. Solicitor, was planning to run for a second term this past June. He is a former chairman of the Laconia Republican city committee and is a practicing attorney in Laconia. He is a graduate of the Harvard Law School and is the author of a number of articles on atomic energy. The O'Neill's have three children, Jimmy 6, Christina 5, and Janet 3.
Paul Carlson is a former business office manager of New England's Tel. and Tel. Company in Fitchburg. He has been transferred to Lowell in the same capacity. Paul has been with this company since 1947, starting work in Manchester, N. H. He held various positions in the sales organization and was aPpointed rate engineer in 1952 for the state of New Hampshire. He was appointed manager in Concord, N. H., in 1954 and manager in Fitchburg in 1956. The Carlsons have a son Peter, 4½.
John Havens is the new manager and coowner of the reopening State Theater in Fitchburg, Mass. He is also the owner of a coffee shop at 391 North Street, Fitchburg. John Ianiri has recently moved to Wilmette, Ill., from Port Chester, N. Y. Don Knapp is at the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon. Jim Vanderbeek has changed his address to Box 1569 Grand Central Station, New York. We wonder if this means a permanent return from his geological work in Havana, Cuba.
Major Chuck Langley continues to work in his assignment with the U. S. Marine Corps at the U. S. Naval Base in Philadelphia. David Holmes is State agent for London & Lancashire Insurance Co. Ltd., Boston, Mass. Horace Bussell is at the Aviation Supply Demand Control Point in Philadelphia. BobKeane is job engineer with United Engineers in Millsboro, Del. Pat Reddin is a Management consultant with offices in the National Bank Building, Dallas, Texas. Jim Luce is teaching music in Ashtabula, Ohio. Dr. Ed Matthews is living in Portland, Me. DaveRussell is a financial analyst, project leader, with General Foods Corp. in White Plains, N. Y. Art Wilson is an Account Executive with Dickie-Raymond, Inc. in New York City. Dick DeNatale is Director of Graphic Design with the Reynolds Metals Company in Richmond, Va.
