The Joe Barnetts do like Florida as a permanent home and with their central air conditioning they get through the oppressively hot and humid July, August and September. The retired man has many others without occupations to watch and meet, not like the Chicago area environment.

Chet Vander Pyl regrets that circumstances for travel have provided ways toward the East instead of Hanover. They will be taking off again for Australia and the Orient in November for 3 or 4 months with only a remote possibility of returning via the East Coast.

Jay D. Runkle has a Florida address now: 1200 North Atlantic Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. He "took off" on October 16.

Joe Dolan is recovering in the hospital in Arcadia, Calif., after suffering from a stroke. His writing is clear and normal so he must be doing well.

Matt Gately reports they had a lovely trip back to Buenos Aires from his long visit to the States. He can be reached c/o First National Bank of Boston, Florida 99, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He wants to get back again in 1960 for our next reunion, before the 50th.

Edwin C. Grothe has now reported that his reason for missing the 45th was two hospital trips — one for an operation, but he is looking forward to 1960 or 1961 whichever is chosen. He is at 609 California Avenue, SW, Huron, South Dak.

The Brig Knights spent the summer in California and up and down the West Coast. They are back in the Stone House on Main Street, Marlboro, N. H., now, so drop in as you tour through town.

Bob More is now retired and after January 1, 1959, will move out to R.R. #1, San Luis Obispo, Calif. He can be reached until then at Buffalo Creek, Colo., where he is having a marvelous time fishing, climbing and caring for his evergreens. They have their first grandchild, Rex More, born August 29.

Nancy Shumway Adams had a son, a second, Peter Scott Adams on August 12 in Hartford, Conn. Grandfather Carl is doing well.
