Bill Hands T'36 has moved from Long Island to Evanston, Ill., to become director of international operations for American Hospital Service Corporation. "The anticipated expansion of American in the overseas market," he writes, "offers me an opportunity I simply cannot resist."

Art Ostrander T'41 has been elected vicepresident for sales of General Metals Corporation. As such he has direct charge of sales at the corporation's Enterprise Division (San Francisco) and responsibility besides for sales of all the other operating divisions - a total sales volume in the neighborhood of $40-$50 million annually.

Dexter Brooks T'49 is now a consultant with Schine Enterprises.

Dave Hilton T'52 joined the Million Dollar Club in his second year with the John H. Jamison Agency (Milwaukee) of Northwestern Mutual Life. He thereby set a new agency record — and the agency is the company's largest.

Harv Kelley T'53, as if he wasn't busy enough with North British and Mercantile Insurance, is now also teaching insurance at the Insurance Society of New York and economics at the American Institute of Banking and Hofstra College. "A real grind - but it's fun," says Harv.

Bob Heilmann T'57, who "never thought I'd end up in advertising," is now assistant regional advertising manager for Cities Service's Chesapeake Region - Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. He completed his Cities Service graduate training course in July.

As for the faculty:

Mr. Quinn is the editor of the section on purchasing organization in "Purchasing Handbook," published by McGraw-Hill last month; and the October Chemical Engineering Progress carried an abstract of his paper on "Integrating Scientific Research in Long-Range Planning." He also chaired a session on work simplification in a nurses' training program at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Olsen attended the fall meeting of the trustees of Nichols College of Business Administration in Dudley, Mass.... Mr. Broehl spoke on "Your Board of Directors and What It Can Do for You" at the Management Conference of the Investment Castings Institute in New York.... Mr. Morrissey attended the Tax Institute Symposium at Princeton, N. J., on "The Impact of Taxation on Management Responsibility: Depreciation and Compensation."

We regret to report the death of PhilipChase T'26 on October 10 in Wadsworth, Ohio.
