A near capacity crowd of some 175 alumni and wives packed the ballroom of the Wellesley Country Club on the evening of December 5 to welcome Dean of the College, Joseph L. McDonald. It was indeed most gratifying to the members of the executive committee and the telephone committee to be rewarded with such an enthusiastic turnout of alumni and we feel sure all who came were more than amply repaid. It goes without saying the Dean whose informative and interesting talk completely captivated his audience received a tremendous reception from the gathering.

As is customary the "Pow Wow" got under way at 6:30 with a Wheelock Tavern which was followed by a delicious dinner served at 8 o'clock. President John M. Boermeester '31 conducted a short business meeting directly following dinner and also called the members' attention to future Dartmouth events scheduled for this area.

Once again it was noted the span of classes ranged over a 50-year period with Art Chapin '06 leading the group of oldsters turning out for the meeting. Many new faces were noted in the crowd and it is our sincere hope that more and more alumni in this area will begin an active participation in these worth- while meetings.

Immediately following Dean McDonald's fine talk we had a showing of the new football film "Highlights of the 1957 Football Season" with sound track narrative by Coach Bob Blackman.
