Year in and year out, Coach Tom Keane comes up with winning golf teams and this spring should prove no exception, although the veteran pro admits that his current squad is "a bit weaker than last year's team" which won 13 matches and lost only two.

Despite inclement weather and lack of practice, the Big Green golfers turned in a creditable performance on their spring trip, winning five and losing four matches. They opened with an 18-1 a win over the University of Richmond, then lost 27-3 to the University of Virginia, and split with Quantico, winning the first match 18-12 and dropping the second, 17-13. The Indians then lost to William and Mary, 7½-1½, defeated George Washington, 18-9, and stopped Navy, 5-2, and Johns Hopkins, 9-1, before losing to Princeton by a close 4-3 score.

At present four letterraen lead off for the Indians, with Captain Rod Frates playing number one, followed by Bruce McDonald, Harvey Bloom and Henry Milton. Senior Dave Maryat plays fifth, while Nick Procino, a junior, is seventh and two sophomores, Roger Bentley and Bill Richmond, round out the squad.

Dartmouth's nine-hole course opened this week, and the 18-hole course is expected to be ready within the next ten days - none too soon for a team which can use all the practice it can get.
