Rated as very weak at the start of the season, Coach Tommy Keane's team has come through in surprisingly fine fashion during the past month. The Indians shut out Brown 7-0, lost to Williams 5½ to 1½/, then upset Harvard 5-2, but lost to Army 7-0. In the Eastern Intercollegiate Golf Association Tournament the Big Green golfers placed 11th in a field of 16 teams, with Yale winning the tournament, followed by Penn State and Princeton. The Indians failed to qualify for the final round of play although Hank Marcotte missed by only a very narrow margin.

The lineup of the team for most matches has seen Captain Nick Procino as number one man, followed by Roger Bentley, the only other veteran, and sophomore Paul Nelson, rated third. Dave Lashar, Bill Richmond, Scott Bush, Hank Marcotte, and Larry Savage round out the team. Matches with Amherst and Springfield remain on the schedule.
