Green Jottings

Four Dartmouth skiers were elected by the National Ski Association to the eight- man N.C.A.A. Ail-American Ski Team. They were co-captains Bill Smith '58 and Dick Taylor '59 and Robert Gebhardt '58 and Dave Vorse '58. The team was picked by ballot by collegiate ski coaches across the nation.

John Otis '58, captain and third base-man for Dartmouth this spring, was chosen to the N.C.A.A. All-Eastern Baseball Team following the regional games against Connecticut.

Sincere apologies are in order from this writer to veteran soccer and lacrosse coach Tom Dent, who twice this spring was maligned in the Green Teams section. In the April issue we had Tom coaching the golf team and last month we erroneously reported that his Dartmouth lacrosse team had been walloped by Harvard (of all teams) by a 19-0 score. Actually, the Big Green thumped the Crimson, 13-0. Hope the fish don't give you a hard time, Tom!
