The first 1906 man to celebrate his Golden Wedding Anniversary is Gus Ayers as far as I know. On the twenty-eighth of last June Bernice and Gus held a reception at their home in Woodside, Calif., to celebrate the great event. Many of us would have wanted to attend if the distance had not been so great.

Gus has probably traveled more than any other classmate in connection with his work. In the early spring he traveled over the greater part of the West with an engineer from Australia checking the installation of a mechanical tunnel boring machine called the "Robbins Mole." Has now completed his Australian mission and also his work with the French contracting groups. Is still active as a consultant in Hydro-Electric power development.

Gus writes that Corinne Luck has been very ill. Have not heard anything from Charlie so hope she is much improved.

On September 3 Catherine and Art Chapin sailed for Europe and the "Foreign Countries." They expect to be away until the middle of November unless his creditors catch up with him. They both deserve a rest as they had two family weddings this summer. Dave was married to Deborah French on May 31 and Frances was married to Scott Hovey on August 15.

Our sincere sympathy goes out to Cap Pierce in the recent death of his wife Abbie.
