Now that our 55th Reunion is over, it looks like all our members have retired to their caves to wait for our 60th. I have written to more than twenty classmates asking for news for the MAGAZINE. TO date - no replies.

If it were not for our Green Messenger there would be no news. Art and CatherineChapin spent the summer in Colorado, California, and West Virginia visiting their children and as always they stopped to visit all the '06ers they could. They visited Charlie Luck who is soon to start on a six months' trip on the Pacific.

They also visited Cap Pierce who will soon be settled in his new home at 900 East Harrison Ave.. Pomona, Calif. Hopes to see Chub Chase in Salt Lake City on his way home. Also expects to visit some of his cattle boat pals with whom he went to Europe in the summer of 1906.

Our Class is and should be very proud of its class widows and we want especially to acknowledge their loyalty and generosity in the 1961 Alumni Fund campaign. Twentyeight out of thirty-eight living widows contributed almost $1200 which was almost twenty-five per cent of our total.

Although we exceeded our quota our participation was the worst ever. Twentyone of the class graduates failed to contribute, which is hard to believe when you realize that for years our participation record has been close to one hundred per cent.

In the near future you will be receiving a letter about the 1906 Alumni Fund Memorial. Please give it your serious consideration.

Miguel Molina has written me a letter advising that his father, Vincente Molina died in Merida, Yucatan on July 18, 1961.
