Dear Gang - Dick Scharrer popped in this morning all agog, having just returned from the big victory of the Big Green over the Yales at New Haven. He reported seeing many Dartmouths including the following '46's: Reg Pierce who was squiring a good many of his tribe of six (Dick wasn't quite sure how many, but Reg evidently is getting them started young). Bud Scheu who is now President of the Diamond Match Division of the Diamond-Gardner Corporation and living in Old Greenwich, Conn.; Gene Bokor, up from the Big City and many others. We imagine there will be many Greeners at the Princeton game in November.
Bill Burner has joined the Fibers Division of American Cyanamid Company as manager of product publicity and promotion. To take this new post he left the Anderson and Cairns advertising agency where he was vice-president and director of the agency's subsidiary, Creative Public Relations, Inc. Bill earlier directed the agency's public relations department for five years, after a like period with Fairchild Publications, mostly as textile editor on Women's Wear Daily. With American Cyanamid he is working on promotion of Creslan, the company's acrylic fiber.
Our own class agent, Bill Schulting announces the arrival of his first-born - Andrea Helen who weighed in at seven pounds, fourand-a-half ounces on October 8. A nice letter this month from Jack Childs 1909 Class Notes Editor of Cleveland, brings us up-to-date on a couple of our boys. First of all old "Ice Skater" Neal "Stubby" Brunner evidently has moved up the ladder fast as he has purchased a beautiful home in Bay Village. The other '46 in the limelight is Len Gammel, who is a practicing dentist in Aurora and a few years ago moved out of Cleveland to a place of several acres of ground where he also has his office building. Thanks for the news, Jack.
