The class will all be relieved to hear that Clary Goss has fully recovered from an abdominal operation for the removal of the gall duct at the Cornell Medical Center of New York Hospital. This was the 21st such operation. Clary is full of praise for this hospital and the medical and surgical attention he received there.

Through the efforts of Broe, Metzel and your secretary the list of 1923 who have never been mentioned in this column is rapidly becoming shorter.

Len Brown and wife Eleanor live in Upper Black Eddy, Penna. Len is busily engaged in building their country home, himself, from his stone walls and hurricane-felled trees which he cuts up on his one-man saw mill. These activities have completely cured his asthma which ended his industrial arts and teaching career. The Browns have two daughters Susan and Virginia and a son Douglas.

George Heesen and wife Frances live at 3004 Talmadge Road Toledo, Ohio. They have two married daughters Jeanne and Barbara. George is associated with The Heesen-Haseal Company, 516 Madison Avenue in that city.

Benjamin Milberg and wife Eve live at 34 Paddington Road, Scarsdale, N. Y. Ben is president and owner of New York M.G.M. Factors Corp. He has two daughters Judith and Sheila and a son Leonard.

Ralph Emerson, well known in the class as Ernie, has been with Westinghouse since early 1924. He started in Springfield, was in New York City for seven years and in Mansfield, Ohio, 24 years before moving to Columbus. Ralph and wife Lois spend their vacations on Lake Sunapee, N. H., and never fail to visit Hanover. While son George '51 was in college Ralph attended three 1923 Family Weekends.

Ralph's hobby is now gardening. He built a home when he moved to Columbus and found out that landscaping can be a lot of fun but a lot of work. The Emersons have a married daughter, Jane.

Arthur P. Frothingham lives in Portland, Me., where he is purchasing agent for W. H. Hinman, Inc., road contractors. Art has followed commercial banking in Portland, was a manufacturers agent for rustless screens in North and South Carolina, then associated himself with Travelers Insurance Company and later Shenandoah Life Insurance Company. During World War II he was with Todd Bath Shipyard as liaison officer between Treasurer's office and the British government represented by Price Waterhouse. After the war he was for many years in various capacities with Saco-Lowell Company. Art married his wife Mary in 1924 and they have two grown-up children, Robert and Adrienne.

John L. Griffin was with the class for our four years, transferred to Hobart in June 1923 where he graduated with a B.S. degree in 1924. John had a very active war experience from June 1942 until December 1944. He was with the 91st Squadron 81st Fighter Group in Africa as a radio operator. John is now a salesman with Cassell Real Estate, Shrub Oak, N. Y., is not married but states he is "willing."

The Barretts live at 1 Oakley Avenue, White Plains.

Stu Summers is retired, his home is the Seminole Club of Jacksonville, Fla. He wants every one in the class and especially PudgeNeidlinger to read the following: "I married a twin, we had twin daughters Nancy and Sally, they in turn each have twin boys. Who can beat this record?"

Ruth Billings writes that Roger is taking a long over-due vacation at St. Armand's Sarasota, Fla. Roger has his two sons, Roger Jr. and Stanley, both associated with him in Massachusetts Indemnity Insurance Company. His daughter, Marcia, lives in Bermuda with her Navy lieutenant husband. The Billings have seven grandchildren. Roger had an organ installed in his home and his devotion to his organ eclipes his devotion to his wife, says Ruth.

Mr. & Mrs. Len Marshall sailed from San Francisco on December 11 on the "Anna Bokke," a Norwegian cargo ship with an itinerary which included Manila, Ceylon, Hong Kong, Singapore, Penang. From there they hope to land a freighter going to Europe where they will spend considerable time in Vienna, arriving home in time for the reunion.

Truman & Bunny Metzel headed for Hawaii February first, flying from Los Angeles and returning to San Francisco.

The following air mail greeting arrived during our reunion weekend from LarryEager, on Bank of America stationery:

We of Mt. Tanealpais and Mt. Diablo send warm greetings to the Balch Hill group gathered in the 8th Annual Winter Reunion of '23! It was terrific planning to schedule its opening on Charlie Zimmerman's birthday! Please add our good wishes to him for his new year.

Here on a visit from Southern California, Frank Damon dropped in recently and we had a mighty pleasant chat. He is with our branch in the lovely town of Coronado, in the San Diego area.
