It seems the news is very light for this issue. Is everyone too busy celebrating their joth birthdays to write in? Tap on some keys or pick up a pen and let me know how you celebrated the big day! FYI, Shelley Arakawa and Zach Stein, our mini-reunion chairs, are planning 30th birthday celebrations in the major cities. Please check your e-mails and the 1996 Web site (www.dartmouth.org/classes/96/) for more info on a birthday party near you.

Big kudos to Zimo Zeng. After investment banking stints in New York and Hong Kong, Zimo's now a major news anchor at Hong Kong's Phoenix Television station. If you happen to be in Asia, make sure to catch her on the small screen.

So last month I mentioned that David Chemerow '73 bumped into Isabelle (Beilman) McMillen in Belize. I was able to get in touch with Isabelle, who's now back in Lyme, New Hamp shire, where she lives with her husband, Ryan McMillen '94, for most of the year running a 4-year-old online book business, Bookbaker.com. Isabelle had taken three months off to work for the Belize Audubon Society and lived at the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, working with six rural villages (Maya and Garifuna cultures) as part of the Audubon's community outreach and environmental education program. She also assisted park wardens with park management.

Isabelle invites all Dartmouth grads to pay the sanctuary a visit, as "it is an unforgettable place!" The sanctuary, a 120,000-acre national park, is open to visitors with accommodations, a communal kitchen, hiking trails, waterfalls, rivers and night walks to track jaguars led by local Mayan guides. Isabelle plans to return to Belize again in the spring to establish a community resource center and library in the village of Maya Mopan, Stann Creek District, with the help of a Peace Corps volunteer. In addition, she and her husband plan to donate and truck down about 300 to 400 books from their inventory to the new community library in Maya Mopan. Let Isabelle know if you want to join her efforts.

So, that's all for this issue. Make sure to drop me a line for the next issue!
