The sudden death of Norman Cushman on Sunday, March 22 in the Winchester Hospital, at Winchester, Mass., just four days after his wife Madeline died, was a real shock. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 24 in the Bigelow Chapel at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Mass. Classmates Crocker, Hitching, Niles, Plummer and Smart attended.
Phil Chase, your Head Class Agent, and wife Theora are enjoying another trip to Europe where among other activities they will attend a meeting of the International Electrotechnical Commission in Madrid, Spain. Harry Storrs has taken over the duties as Head Class Agent in the interim.
Ted Redington and wife Katherine celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage on April 5 at the Carpinteria Community Church, Carpinteria, Calif. Congratulations from your classmates!
George Liscomb writes that the Suncook Sun started its second year with the February at, 1959 issue. The Sun has been successful in informing the public on some of the more important and interesting phases of community life. It also publishes some of Richard Hovey's poems and this we also like.
Harry Jordan has retired as vice-president of Greiss-Pfleger Tanning Co., of Waukegan, Ill., but is being retained as a consultant. He is enjoying excellent health.
Ben Washburn has retired as Bishop of Newark last November first and is comfortably settled in his new home in Ridgefield, Conn. Ben hopes to be alive for our 75 th Reunion. So do we! He has our best wishes.
Bob Kenyon attended the Dartmouth dinner at Sarasota, Fla., on March 18. Sam Hale is alive and kicking and is looking forward to bathing at York Beach, Me., this summer with yours truly.
I had a nice card from John V. Jewett who has retired from teaching in Brookline, Mass., to enjoy life at West Center Harbor, N. H. Word has been received that Robert P. M. Lewis who has been in the hospital five weeks for surgery is now back home in West Orange, N. J., regaining his health. You have our best wishes, Bob.
