One New Year's resolution has already been broken as my trusty typewriter taps out this month's offering. Late again! This time I'll blame it on a paltry amount of news. No criticism at all of the quality, please understand, it is only the quantity - about enough to fill the back side of a four-cent stamp - that provides the rub.

Enough buck-passing. First and foremost in the news is Scott Rutherford's announcement from Ann Arbor, Mich., that another potential "Injun" has appeared on the scene. James Angell arrived November 16 at a very robust nine pounds and seven-and-one-half ounces. Mother Dorothy is doing well, and "Big Brother," John, has so far survived the temporary status of "being number two."

Last month Jed Isaacs held a dinner-party for Bernie Siskind two days before he formally bowed out of bachelorhood. The gettogether was held at the Dartmouth Club with Jed, Howie Zelikow, Pete Fishbein, Howie Weiser, Stu Kruger, and yours truly representing the Class of '55. Bernie received some appropriate literature, an electric swizzle-stick, and a portable Monte Carlo of sorts from his host - ostensibly to provide diversion during the enforced idleness of his impending moneymoon. Pat Taylor became Mrs. Siskind in a ceremony performed the following Sunday, and she and Bernie left soon after for their trip to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

News from "Down Maine": Kilt Andrew is a group sales and service representative for Union Mutual Life in Portland. He's assigned to the Northern New England Re- gional group office. Kilt has been studying the business in various home offices, and has attended the Life Insurance Marketing Institute at Purdue.

Tuck Creamer is in San Diego, Calif., where he is working with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith in La Jolla. Tuck was with the Bolta Division of General Tire and Rubber previous to his completing a short training course with M.L.P.F. and S. Tuck and his wife Cristienne are anxious to see Dartmouth folks in the vicinity.

In matters matrimonial, Tim Downey and Nancy Riley of Scituate, Mass., were married this past November. Nancy's an alumna of Bouve-Boston School at Tufts and has done graduate work at Adelphi College in New York. The Downeys honeymooned in Bermuda and have returned to Squantum, Mass., where they'll reside while Tim's with the Equitable Life Assurance Company.

Hugh Brady and Elizabeth Jennings were married on December 5 at the All Souls Unitarian Church in New York City. Elizabeth graduated from Skidmore and is a native of Worcester, Mass. Hugh is with Deering, Milliken and Company in New York City.

Ed Dooley is now in college recruiting for the New York Telephone Company and is especially concerned with the New England area. Ed's also active in alumni activities in the city, having interviewed several prospective "Pea Greens" here. "The Tara," guided by Ed's skillful hand, notched third place recently in the "Frostbite" Regatta on Long Island Sound. For those who haven't surmised as much, "Tara" is a sail boat — in very unnautical terms, I suppose - type unknown.

Well, the barrel's empty. Write soon and often, and remember the 1960 Alumni Fund Drive! So long for now.
