Here we go again. Another fall rolls around and it is time to start gathering news. It has been an unusual summer: Many of us got drafted, I got engaged, the Yankees kept winning, and hardly anyone sent in any news.

John and Genie Hoyne had a baby girl in August. That is two for them. John has been working for Dr. West in Chicago but has now decided to return to Tuck School. Craig Clarke was married on July 11 in Phoenix to Patricia Lynn Holmes. Bill Lum, who is now at Michigan Law School, married Beth Walker on June 24 in Hartford, Conn. Also, Steve Moody was married on June 24. His wife is the former Maria Dee Hildreth of Nashua, N. H.

The guy with the best deal going is DickChase. He and his wife, Elaine, are now in Singapore working for a branch of the First National City Bank of New York. So if you are ever out that way - etc. While the topic is on expatriates I'll say that Alex McGinnis is studying in New Zealand. Word has it that he got together with Ned Brown and his wife, Sonja, out there on July 4. MaGoo got on the piano and the New Zealanders were treated to some special arrangements of old rock and roll classics. Also, across the Pacific are Roy Eisenhardt and Eric Anderson. A letter from them tells of the low prices and fun times on Okinawa. Eric informed me that he had approximately 288 days left before he was coming back.

Gerry Huttrer and Jan Tollefson were married on August 6, right here in Excelsior, Minn. The reception was a good one. They will be living in Seattle this year while Gerry goes to school. Jake Crouthamel and Carol Swett were married in Winchester, Mass., on July 29. Bill Gundy and Roland H. Koltnan were ushers. Jake is in the Navy and they will be in California, I think. Roli just got a Master's degree in Public Relations from B.U. and is waiting around to go in the Army.

Hap Dunning is spending the summer in Africa. He completed a year of study in London in June and then planned to wander around the dark continent for several months. Mike Fitz is studying law in Vienna. I spent a delightful week at Mike's house in Hohenems, Austria last April. Such hospitality and good food and also some spring skiing. What a life.

A letter from Pete Ralph says that he is about to begin two years of practice work in Hospital Administration at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Conn. Bordie Powers wrote to tell of the big '6O gatherings at the Dallas-Ft. Worth Dartmouth Club picnic last May. Dick Norguard (Southwestern Medical School), Tom Grow (S.M.U.) and Tom Ettinger (U.S. Army) were among those seen around the keg.

Steve Larson tells me that he will be up at McGill Medical School this fall. JohnKersey is going back to Dartmouth Medical School after spending a year at the University of Minnesota. Barry Mac Lean and his wife, Maude, have a house and are all settled in Chicago. As for myself I got engaged to Mari True of Kenilworth, Ill., on June 21. By the time this MAGAZINE hits the news stands I will have been married about a month. September 1 is the day.

That is all the news for this month. Now a little business. Due to my absence from the scene last spring no class boy has been named. So I would like to have all men, who were married after graduation and have had a son, send in the necessary information. Please do this promptly and we can have the final results in a month or so. I am going back to Tuck this year so send it to me at 8 Summer Street, Apartment 9, Hanover, N. H. Also, even if you are not married and do not have a son in the running I'd like to hear your story. Any news would be appreciated. And finally, a big Wah Hoo Wah to Chuck Cole for the fine job he did while writing this column last winter and spring.

Under a legislative internship programthis summer, Bruce Hasenkamp '60worked in the Washington office of CongressmanWilliam B. Widnall of NewJersey (r). Bruce is now a second-yearlaw student at Stanford.
